Meet Amma Seema ...

I left Pakistan and came to Cambridge MA 48 years ago. At that time it was difficult to find Desi food in and around where I lived. What was available was not exactly within my geographical or financial reach. So I learned to cook.

I would write to my mother in Pakistan, asking for recipes of my favorite dishes. Well, letters took 15 days to reach Pakistan, and 15 days for the answer to get back to me. I learned to be patient.

Preparing comfort foods for myself and my children brought us happiness and joy. That’s how I learned to love!

And now I want to share my cooking and my love with you all. Patiently! Lol! Especially those who love good food but don’t want to spend hours cooking.

Amma Seema is a hand crafted Pakistani curry paste, handed down for generations.  It's authentic, flavorful and easy to make meals with.  One 190 gram jar makes enough for 4 people (or proportionally less for fewer people) by adding meat, veggies, tofu, daal, or a combination of any of these.
