BORN FROM A FRUSTRATION

You never would have guessed it, but we here at Nohmad have a bit of a sweet tooth for chocolate! Ok, you maybe would have assumed that....maybe.

What you may not have guessed is that we also like to understand what we are eating and that presented a big problem back in 2014. Every snack shelf and chocolate bar we found was full of preservatives, dyes, chemicals, and other things you wouldn't think was needed to make a good chocolate bar. And the ones that used good ingredients were just....well they were terrible

We won't name names, but some of the biggest chocoalte companies in the world don't even use real chocolate. It's just a compound made from sugar. Heck, they even use wax in the bars.

This realization led us on a wild goose chase to find and create a better chocolate. Something simple and delicious. Something that didn't compromise taste just because it was wholesome. Something we would eat and keep at home.

After a whole lotta learning, we found our stride.

From the jungles of Ecuador to the Maple farms of Vermont, we tracked down the best ingredients from great people. We also found a partner who was able to take our recipes and help us bring our bars to the most important person ever....you!
